Please be careful when changing your old halogen lightbulb tubes over to LED. You need to use the conversion kit and cannot plug the LED tubes into the halogen ballast this will cause a fire.

LODD 80-04 Neil Cope

 

On July 16th 2019 at 0132hrs NBVFD was dispatched to a mutual aid dwelling fire. LT Cope was part of the engine crew that responded and was assigned to staging in full PPE and SCBA with masks in the doffed position. After the crew was released LT Cope returned home and spoke to is wife around 0730hrs. His wife attempted to contact him a couple of times during the day without success. His wife returned home around 1630hrs and found him unresponsive and not breathing. Attempts by EMS to revive LT Cope were unsuccessful.
